A Lumad school built by the community, for the community.
ALCADEV is a Lumad indigenous school located in Surigao del Sur, Philippines. Awarded by the DepEd-LCC as the 5th Most Outstanding Literacy Program in the Philippines in 2014, it provides alternative education to the indigenous youth of the different tribes in Caraga region.
What We Do
We teach Scientific and Sustainable Agriculture to the indigenous youth as part of developing and protecting the ancestral lands.
We provide Secondary Education to the Lumad youth; education that is nationalist, scientific and mass-oriented.
We facilitate Livelihood Education so the Lumad can maximize the rich resources of the ancestral lands.
